The Problem
Auditors and internal users at Capital One were struggling with an outdated ownership settings page. Its complexity and inefficiency hindered data management and tracking, leading to prolonged audit times and potential compliance risks. The existing tool was a significant pain point that required transformation.
My Role & Approach
As the Design Lead, I was responsible for the UX/UI of the ownership settings page. My work included conducting user research, iterating designs, and collaborating closely with engineers and wordsmiths to deliver a user-friendly interface that simplified data ownership tracking and improved audit efficiency.
The Solution Implemented
I delivered a completely redesigned ownership settings page featuring:
The new design provided users with a self-service way to manage data ownership, significantly reducing manual work.
Quantifiable Results & Impact
The redesigned page dramatically improved audit efficiency and data accuracy. It streamlined the process of tracking data ownership and directly contributed to a 90% confirmation rate during regulatory audits.
